Panasonic was founded in Osaka, Japan on March 13, 1918. The Founder was Konosuke Matsushita who excels in the consumer electronics and semiconductor industry. They create a wide variety of products including microcomputers, general purpose and discrete devices, opto electronic devise, and Application-Specific Standard-Product ICs. They have 9 production plants where they manufacture their products. They design their own Bipolar ICs, MOS LSIs, LEDs, lasers, and power transistors in each of these 9 plants following by testing each individual product to perfect it for their customers. Panasonic has a philosophy that has never changed since their founding which is that their customers and the public is always first. They were ranked the 89th largest company in the world in 2009 by the Forbes Global 2000 and is among the Worldwide top 20 Semiconductor sales leaders.
